Fall Recipe #1

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread



   This is my custom banana bread recipe :) Originally, it was a chocolate chip banana muffin recipe, but I altered the baking time so my family and I could enjoy some delicious bread!! This recipe is great with coffee and hot tea, making it a very simple yet delicious breakfast. Feel free to print out this recipe and add it to your cookbook. Enjoy!

Ingredients:                                                                                


  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour


  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas

  • A couple handfulls of chocolate chips






  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Grease two loaf pans.
    3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    4. In another bowl, combine the egg, oil, yogurt and vanilla.
    5. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
    6. Fold in bananas and chocolate chips.
    7. Pour batter evenly into the two loaf pans
    8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is risen and nicely browned.
    9. Cover with tinfoil and bake for another 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
    10. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
    11. Serve with hot coffee or hot tea! Enjoy!
